The Coffee Lab Roastery Cafe opened in April 2012. We focus on specialty coffee but also have a delicious all day BRUNCH MENU with the kitchen open until 2PM for a selection of food and fresh inhouse baking..

We have amazing espresso on tap (specialty grade SINGLE ORIGIN coffees from three grinders that change most days). This is served from our 3 group SLAYER ESPRESSO MACHINE and the best "water for coffee reverse osmosis water filtration system".  Filter coffee and Cold brew is also availavble. Disclaimer - we do not do Starbucks style frappe coffees. We do however do authentic iced coffees and an array of delicious real fruit smoothies for those wanting healthy non coffee options.

FRESH COFFEE FOR HOME is available in 250gm and 1 kg bags with the varieties changing weekly and regular appearances of our Premium Blend, Costa Rica La Minita, and always a variety of our more than 20 single origin coffees from Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ethiopia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Kenya, Panama, Sulawesi and even coffee from Yemen. We are always on the search for high quality single origin coffees which we import to bring you something special.

COFFEE LAB CAFE is a large cafe able to seat over 80 people and is a great place for business brunches where we can seat large groups of up to 12 around our large tables.  

We have a small but delicious cafe menu including all the ususal suspects such as Eggs Benedict, Avocado Bruschetta, The Grand Lab BIG Breakfast, Chicken Burgers, French Toast, Organic Acai Bowl, Salad, and more including our daily delicious baked cabinet cakes, slices and artisan desserts and daily filled breads.

We use free range products with as much as possible local sourced high quality NZ products.

Our oil for aioli and all cooking comes from the sunflower seeds grown and produced in the South Island. Our Honey comes from JR Friends in the South Island. Our eggs are from the award winning Henergy company in the Wairarapa. Our meat is the best Handpicked in the South Island and so many more stories of ethical sustainable deliciousness!

We're hidden away in the Wairau Valley with lots of free parking, outside seating with sunny spots to sit in, WiFi for those wanting to do some work.
