Cafetto Evo is the espreso machine cleaner choice of champions, is also certified for use with organic coffee.
Take the blind filter
Add one measured spoon of Cafetto Evo...
Very carefully add boiling water from the machine...
Lock into the machine head
Leave about 5 minutes giving the Evo time to strip away the coffee oils in the head that have dirtied the heads after the days use
This Vibiemme Domobar shows the Evo working it's way back up the lines into the drip tray. This reaction is forced from hot water and heat applied to the Cafetto.
After 5 minutes of allowing the Evo to do it's work, then water backflush the head about 8-10 times. Each backflush should be no more than 7 seconds as longer can damage the solenoids.
Carefully clean away all the Evo and run a seasoning shot of espresso before use. This regular cleaning maintainance will keep your espresso tasting sweet. We recommend daily cleans in a commercial environment & a weekly clean for light home espresso use.
Backflushing requires sufficient pressure to force the water down the lines. Once this pressure is reached as seen on the dial, turn the water flow off. It takes generally 5 to 7 seconds only..no more.
Home machines will need the water tank refilled at this point and be careful to use filtered water & a water only vessel-water bottle or kettle.
 Do NOT use your milk jug, even if it is spotlessly clean as the milk spore in the jug not visible to the eye has the potential to sour the boiler.
Tap water can cause calcium build up inside the boiler in a short time. Protect your machine and espresso taste with good filtered water.
Home machine drip trays then need to be emptied and cleaned. This machine is a Vibiemme Junior. A great little home machine for those with smaller bench space.
When you clean with Cafetto Evo you remove oils built up inside the heads from your espresso making that will cause your espresso to taste dirty & bitter no matter how good the coffee or how well you make it. Regular head cleaning is a must!!!
